 The
Lake:
It is an artificial lake
created after the big flood of 1951. It covers about 19 has. It offers
several water sports. It is beside the city pools and
surrounded by restaurants, nautical clubs and camping sites.

Es
un lago artificial creado debido a la inudación de 1951. Tiene una
superficie aproximada de 19 has. En el se practican varios deportes acuaticos.
Esta junto al complejo de piletas municipales y rodeado de restaurantes,
confiterías y campings.
Fort Independence:
It
is placed a thousand meters away from where the original fort was. It is
a Moorish castle donated by the Spanish Collectivity in 1923 (Tandil's
centenary).

Fuerte Independencia:
Está
situado a mil metros del sitio donde estaba el fuerte que dio origen a
Tandil. Es un castillo morisco donado 1923 (centenario de Tandil) por la
Colectividad Española.
 Mount
Calvario:
It
is third in the world because of its importance and one of Tandil's most
important places to visit. It is formed by 14 sculptures that represent
the stages of the Via Crucis. During Easter week, thousands of pilgrims
visit it and join in the procession to the Main Church.
El
Monte Calvario:
Es
el tercero en importancia a nivel mundial, y uno de los lugares mas característicos
de Tandil. Esta formado por 14 grupos escultóricos que ilustran
las estaciones del Via Crucis. Durante Semana Santa se llena de peregrinos
que luego de recorrer sus estaciones se unen a la procesión de casi
2 km hasta la Iglesia Matriz.

Waterfall:
This
water spring forms at the heart of the hills. It is a very pretty place
which makes some visitors remember Ireland's landscapes.

Cascada:
Se
forma en la unión de vertientes que bajan de las sierras. Es un
lugar muy bello que a algunos visitantes hace recordar los paisajes de
Irlanda.
The
moving rock:
The
300 tn rock lays, broken in three pieces, below the hill on which it balanced
until 1912.

La Movediza:
La
mole de 300 toneladas yace, partida en tres pedazos, bajo el cerro sobre
el que oscilaba hasta 1912.
Tiger's
Hill:
It
is named that way because of the many yaguaretes (a kind of puma) which
lived on the zone originally. It is a natural reserve formed by 140 has
destined to preserve different species of animals and plants.

Su
nombre se debe a la abundancia de yaguaretés (felino en peligro
de extinción) que había en la zona originalmente. Es una
reserva natural de 140 hectáreas destinadas a preservar especies
de fauna y flora autóctonas.
Hill
of the "Libertador":
It
is a small hill, within the city, in memory of Libertador Gral. Jose de
San Martin. There you can see a statue representing him.

Es
un pequeño cerro, ubicado dentro de la ciudad, que ha sido dedicado
al Libertador Gral. José de San Martín y que posee un grupo
escultorico alusivo.
Las
Animas Hill:
It
is the highest of all the hills surrounding the city. It measures 480 meters
above the sea level. The view from the top is incredible.

la mas alta de las sierras que rodean la ciudad. Mide 480 metros sobre
el nivel del mar. Desde la cima, la vista es espectacular.
Fort
Independence Museum:
It
has a very big collection of things which tell the story of Tandil, ranging
from indians' pottery and weapons to the first modern airplane.
